Disney Dessert Parties Comparison

The Walt Disney Company is the largest consumer of fireworks in the world and the second largest purchaser of explosive devices, right behind the U.S. Department of Defense. Every evening Disney uses this arsenal of fireworks to wow thousands of guests with their dazzling fireworks shows. You will definitely want to make sure you catch some of the nighttime entertainment when you are at Disney World!

But, since these shows are so popular, the crowds can get a little intense, and many people scope out a spot 30-60 minutes before showtime. If fighting the crowds to secure a good view is something you don’t want to do, or don’t think your family will be willing to endure, then perhaps adding a dessert party to your plans is the perfect solution for your family. These events require special tickets (in addition to your park admission) and are held most nights in various parks throughout Walt Disney World. These parties include drinks and desserts, as well as a private area for guests to view the fireworks shows. Many are advertised as available for purchase 180 days before the event, but most are not actually available for purchase until 60-90 days before the event. You can check MyDisneyExperience for dates and times.

I highly recommend adding a dessert party to your trip if it fits in your budget. These parties add a lot of value to your fireworks viewing experience and make the night even more special for you and your family. The desserts are consistently delicious, and the chance to escape the crowds can be a true luxury at Disney World. One important thing to consider when choosing a party is timing; if the show doesn't start until 9:00pm and your kids can't hang that late, this may not be a good value for you. But if your 2 older can kids can definitely stay up for a 7:30 or 8:00pm show (and maybe a 2 or 3 year old sleeps in the stroller) this could be a good add-on for you. Keep in mind kids under 3 are always free at Disney!
